Dr May wrote a moving tribute.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

Even though, at 90, it was bound to happen at some point, Chuck Berry was one of those very few true legends: deep down, we never truly believe that they are mortal. Without him, popular music would have sounded very different for the whole duration of the lives of most people around today.

Yeah, Brians tribute was nice.

A guy shoots videos of dozens of women changing and using the toilet at his business, and people mourn his passing. Along with a few more 'indiscretions'. Odd.

Dr May's tribute was truly beautiful.

Strangely enough I was watching Back To Future trilogy on thursday... (It's my favorite movie ever)

I must admit I never knew it was Chuck Berry's song. I never really listened to his music. Only after Dr May wrote "The delicious joke is that Chuck Berry hears this on the phone and learns this way of playing from Marty" I recognized that man is calling to Chuck Berry himself and he is hearing his song that he wrote in the future!

Better late than never :)

The Daily Mail is a trash tabloid.

Lots of people have shady pasts. It is what it is.

In death we should have respect for people, and when enough time has passed then we can dig into the dirt.

Just google 'Chuck Berry toilet tapes', and amongst the many finds are

http://www.riverfronttimes.com/musicblog/2011/12/27/videotape-allegations-stung-berrys-legacy-22-years-ago-today

He settled with 59 women who were taped, either undressing or when on the toilet.

Maybe people need to know who they are mourning.

No Chuck ... No Queen

His lengthy crime sheet has been well covered (at least by the Chicago Tribune) in stark contrast to his rock pioneering success story. Other reputable reputable media sources covered both sides of his history.

The Daily Mail coverage is incomplete shock journalism that is designed to get "clicks".

Are you going to stop listening to Queen because of Freddie being a negligent mass murderer?

Many artists have done as bad as that or much, much worse. It reflects poorly on them as people, sure, but it has no bearing on the art they've made.

Let's just put all that mudslinging to rest, and appreciate the founding fathers of rock and roll

They just released a new track from his upcoming final album, and damn. It has that authentic 50's vibe in it!

The 'toilet tapes' thing is just downright hilarious. Can you imagine going to Chuck's place, and he gets that look in his eye and you just know he's going to come back in the room with his box of tapes, and you're in for the long haul!

"Lookit dis one! Lookit her! Oh my gaaaahd!"

For all we know it wasn't a sordid kind of thing. David Attenborough films animals doing far worse than going to the toilet, and we treat him like a hero! Maybe Chuck was just a student of the human condition in his own way.

Leave it to John Bodega to try and clean it all up; instead of looking at both.

I think we oughta call him ... THE JANITOR!

*unless of course; he's like making his own videos from the can. .... being a janitor and all

Yes, there are so many artists whose work we still enjoy who were far from saints. And, of course, I am no saint.

Call it a 'fault', but I just can't forgive armed car jackers, armed robbers, and people that prey on unsuspecting women.

I don't know how it can be called 'mudslinging', when the facts are what they are regarding Mr. Berry.
