I see this in eBay.

It is interesting the drawing of the author of inflatables.

Hmmm....according to that material, design / deployment suggestions were still being made a week before the event. That leaves quite a tight turnaround for production and delivery.

Also, weren't the inflatables SEEN to fly away? How did the original maker get them back?

In short...I'm wondering if these aren't backup versions or work in progress versions of somesuch....

But then I'm massively cynical.

I know the guy who got hold of a Freddie inflatable back in the day, there was an article about it in the Daily Mirror at the time.
If you're out there Paul, PM me.

If you look at Queen Wembley 2nd night video , you van See John left the stadium in the middle of AKOM. Somebody must have found HIM in a garden. poor John

Yes, the face has no doubt been re-drawn, but if you read the article on Brian's site this is what he has to say ---

Look at this, guys !

I had to share this …

Who knew … that the Freddie inflatable from 1986 – the only one of the four that escaped Wembley stadium – ended up in Leigh on Sea, Essex (almost lost out to sea !) ??? Nobody has seen this wonderful piece of ephemera since then. But now - here it is ! What happened to the other three ? And what could be done with this great find ?

Bri

THANKS TONY !!!

I think people will be thrilled to see this !

Brian ‘s memory isn’t that great anymore . Please look at the footage. Compare the arms and legs from the wembley video from John to this pic and see these are identical. Freddie is totally different

I'm not disagreeing with you, just pointing out what Brian said. It wasn't necessarily the seller who painted it, let's hope whoever did it used an easily removable water based paint. A Freddie inflatable can be seen here http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/6A8AAOSwCGVX6VsG/s-l500.jpg

Well that was me, I acquired one of the Wembley inflatables, it is me you are referring to. Had a great time back then about that. Cheers!
