Queen announce concert in Antartica.

Queen will play on August 10 In Antartica after their North American tour.

The ground-breaking show at the research center has been on Brian May's radar for some time. He explains:

The plight of Antartica is something that needs to be brought to the attention of the world. I hope our show can achieve that.

The research center can accommodate an audience of 1,000, modest by Queen's standards.

As part of the preparations Adam Lambert is arranging to get a tattoo of an Emperor Penguin.

To add more intrigue Neil Fairclough has advised on his Facebook page that he will not be performing at this show leading to fans speculating that John Deacon will perform for this special event.

When asked for a comment drummer Roger Taylor quipped 'It'll be cold I'd say!'

They are performing at a tiny research center. What a joke. They should be performing in Antartica's largest city and cultural mecca ...

Actually he never claimed that they will play at the north pole. That`s your assumption because he mentioned AFTER their north america tour ;)

"Polar Bear" will be dropped from the setlist because of that.
