For those of us who haven't really kept up with this home demo stuff - how much of it is available for download? And how much parallel is there with what has been released on the FM box set and Barcelona 4 disc reissue (if any) ?

So far I can confirm that the Garden Lodge Piano Home Demos (Jim Hutton Tape) and the Garden Lodge Improvisations (Freddie With Peter Straker & Mike Moran) tape are the same lengths as the ones you have. I'm still waiting for the info on the other tapes.

It seems that the Freddie Mercury With Montserrat Caballe & Mike Moran (Peter Freestone Tape) is about 90 minutes in length, so the 72:11 transfer you have might be an edited version. As regards the Garden Lodge Instrumental Demos (Freddie Mercury & Mike Moran), can you list the tracks and times of the 8 flacs you have?

Do the tracks have titles or contain any text within the flac media information, and are they split correctly?

No, only track 01, etc and a file calls Barcelona early recordings with all the tracks in one file.

Can't help further as I'm really not sure what you have there. Are you sure they are instrumentals?

Freddie vocals ideas and Moran on piano. Not full songs or demos.

So why does it have the title Instrumental Demos if it is neither? Perhaps if you tell us where you got it it will help.

So did you download them from somewhere? You might also want to check the flacs on your Jim Hutton mini disc transfer as some copies are sourced from mp3.
