This pic was taken at their first Madison Square Garden gig, at the end of the first encore, Now I'm Here.

Anyone got a copy without the watermarks? It's one of my faves.

Do you really think that this was after Now I'm Here? If Hammy 75 (and Sydney 76...I was there) were anything to go by, Freddie reserved the candy pants for Hey Big Spender. At Earl's Court he wore his spangled catsuit.

Great pic. The fact that half of Roger's kit is on the stage floor next to the riser (a Kieth Moon moment) does suggest its the end of the gig rather than the end of the first encore. . . , but. . . . .

You're right - Roger has already trashed his kit, which you can even hear on the tape. Good catch.

Or maybe that pic isn't NYC ?

I thought this one here was from NYC too, but Brian has different coloured pants on.

I guess it isn't then. Roger certainly didn't trash his kit every night.

Well, if it isn't NYC then when could it be. Roger usually only trashed his kit at the end of a tour, like on 7/6/77 (Earls Court). It isn't Inglewood '77 as Freddie wore his silver glittering leotard.

What gig could it possibly be?

Good to see the archivist right at the front, memorising that what he is seeing in fact never happened.
