Not the usual opinions and likes. Honest, perhaps overly wordy but very passionate and lively. Energetic and brutal (when necessary) but gets surprisingly emotional near the end.

Not bad.
Very rock/metal focused but for those parts of Queen music I agree with most points the guy mentioned.

That was awesome.

He got so many song titles wrong that it is almost like his whole spiel has been made up from reading Wikipedia than actually knowing what he is talking about... another 'youtuber' looking for likes... yawn...

^Ever the fucking optimist, moog. Never something positive to say. But you're fucking right.

What titles did he get wrong?

Would have liked to hear less rambling and more music, personally.

Then just listen to the albums. What were you expecting?

I wasn't expecting anything. The impression I got was that of a metalhead that really likes the sound of his own voice.

His musical "analysis" was pretty flawed; either a random 10 second snippet followed by "don't tell me that ain't metal" or inaccuracies and misconceptions like that The Show Must Go On has a four octave vocal performance, recorded in one take (it's about one and a half octaves and there's no reliable source claiming Freddie sang that in one take).

There were some worthwhile moments, but they were few and far in between.

He's not writing a peer reviewed scholarly article, it's a piece of entertainment, and obviously something that means a lot to him. He takes a "print the legend" approach, which is very entertaining and, at a certain point, quite moving.

That's not a licence to fail even primary school maths. You don't need to be writing a peer-reviewed scholarly article to understand that 3.5 is less than half of ten and four is less than half of eleven (therefore, his claim of Brian being the writer of over half the tracks on the first two albums is completely wrong, you don't need Einstein to suss that one out).

As for the 'Show Must Go On' range thing, two possible theories: either he's got no idea what octaves are (in which case, why mention them?) or he just wanted to emphasise how great that vocal is. Well... you don't need to invent or exaggerate in order to persuade people about it. That's a great vocal recording, enough in itself to impress people. No need to say it was one take (it wasn't), no need to say it's four-octaves (it's not). It's the same 'Bo Rhap' thing again.

There were a few other mistakes, but those could be sort of forgivable in the sense that they would've indeed taken a bit of research. The other ones, though, were just about learning how to count one-digit numbers.

All in all, I sort of enjoyed the video (and no, he did not get song titles wrong, at all). Probably wouldn't watch it again, but I don't feel I wasted forty minutes of my life, so that's alright.

He did make a good point about polka, one I agree with, and it's nice that he chose relatively obscure tracks as his favourites.

Five minutes of cursory research (just some basic prep before shooting his video) could've helped him correct most of the glaring errors, and the video would've been even better than it is. We're not saying he had an ugly face or that his shades were tacky, we're talking about simple errors anyone could've avoided, without necessarily having to be writing a peer-reviewed scholarly article. Having said that, his 'research' was still Pulitzer-worthy compared to what certain Queen employees deliver from their official capacities.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.
