The question is: Do we make it complete, or do we make it interesting? As in, is there a point in taking long to fastidiously compiling every last version (some fade-in/out edits and semi-official mixes may be essentially pointless to feature), or do we make it more approachable and focus in what fans may consider most exciting to listen to?

Not that it really matters, because since this is a digital compilation for the fans we can absolutely make a two-tiered release, with the more complete version being eventually assembled by everyone taking part, IMO.

That said, I wonder if this is the chance to unearth some yet hidden gems. At the very least, this could be an opportunity to have a slightly new outlook on Queen's catalogue.

Don't stress the boy with these questions. He deserves some rest after finding the compilation title and drafting the letter of intent. Post no 2 has to wait until he is recovered (if ever).

Yes, indeed, It's kinda strange that the topic starter didn't respond during these 4 days...

I would love to see this continue at some point. If the o/p doesn't come back, I wouldn't mind stepping up and starting some organizing of ideas. I hesitated before for a few reasons. I'm a heretic who isn't an audiophile. I know. I know. I know the argument on flac, etc....but mostly I listen to music in the car or on earbuds so it isn't a priority for me so while I have the common rarities (yes I'm aware of the irony of that phrase), and some less common, I don't have them in peak format, etc.

I would be a whiz about organizing and spearheading talk about how to do that...and I wouldn't even mind collecting things again in FLAC or whatever if no one else wants to....or if people want to work together.

I guess we'll see how it works out...I'll throw some ideas out in the next few days if O/P doesn't come back...Maybe....JUST maybe....if the whole community gets together and this is a project that takes off perhaps some of the collecting community who have some of those less common rarities might be inspired to contribute and we'll get something new out of this too! No pressure, and no starting the Fanthology argument again please...

^ OR you could make that a separate disc...:P Queen - Property of Queen Productions: The Convention Recordings ;) In all curiousness, I kept them because some of them are VERY interesting....but yeah it's a judgment call.

Hi folks,

I'll take the time now to respond to a few questions:

Q: Will there be any 'Property Of Queen Productions' tracks?
A: I will be staying away from Convention Recordings. All of the tracks I will include are going to be proper recordings, not the kind that are recorded on phones or cameras.

Q: Do we make it complete, or do we make it interesting?
A: The set is by no means going to be complete, but it is certainly going to be interesting to listen to. As the saying goes, quality over quantity.

Q: Any live recordings?
A: Possibly, but in a separate volume. Right now I want to focus on Studio recordings, but a Live Anthology will be the next item on my agenda!

Q: How will everything be sorted?
A: Chronologically, from the date of recording. Some extrapolation will be required here.

Soon I will upload a tracklist of the first volume.

How about a couple of words for the few enthusiastic support offers? Your time (or something else) must be very limited.

What are the songs you got already?

More precisely, what do you have new (except for the naive concept of a fanthology including B-sides and On Air)? But we already know the answer to this.
What remains is the secret hope for new material to surface as a result of your impulse. Unfortunately a vain hope, because the kind of person to fulfill the project and maybe elicit something new, based on his authority, decency, numerous shares and countless serious posts is the total opposite of you, who are an arrogant ignorant.

All you seem to do is criticise. Apart from 250-odd posts of negativity, sarcasm and condescending claptrap, what have you actually contributed? I've yet to see a post from you that actually offers anything constructive, or a share for the collecting community. Unless you have multiple accounts? Either way, no need to be a keyboard warrior.

I recall 1 share of his.

I don't find anything constructive to say about this anthology mockup.

If you think the correct attitude is to ignore questionable issues, not to comment on them, then prove yourself right by ignoring my posts.

Yet more smartass drivel. Answer the question - what have you contributed? Fuck all. 250+ posts of absolute crap. You don't find anything constructive to say on this post? Wrong. You don't have anything constructive to say, period.

I don't understand why your zenitude is so good, while i am a bad person for not fueling this man's fantasy, who is based on the assumption that "fellow queenzoners" are in fact another bunch of dumb fucks easy to fool, as in his other virtual or real groups.

So is this actually meant for the Request forum?
