No need to be sloppy.[/QUOTE]

No need for any snark either! I am happy to discuss any technical aspects of my recordings. I love to talk about it! But most of the places where I post my recordings, most people do not want the technical details as it is beyond their technical knowledge.

For Hollywood 1st night, I was in Terrace 3, behind and to the side of the sound box. For Hollywood 2nd night, I was between the main stage and the end of the B-stage.Both of these Hollywood audio recordings were done with Church CA-11 cardioid mics, Church ugly battery box, and Sony PCM-M10 recorder. They were recorded in 24-bit, 96 kHz WAV.

I then uploaded the files to oliverd05 who graciously volunteered to process the files since I wasn't going to have time for at least a month. He used Audacity to join the wav files, normalized to -1 db, labeled the song breakpoints in Audacity and then exported as split FLAC (24-bit, 96 kHz, level 5) and also as split Mp3 (320 kbps) files.

After oliverd05 send the files back to me, I added album artwork using Mp3tag software and a poster jpg image made by other fans. (There is some organized effort by Adam fans to make an "unofficial" poster for every concert Adam is in. I think some of the Queen fans have participated for QAL concerts also.)

I also have a 2nd recording of Hollywood night 2 made with a Sony ICD-SX2000 using the internal omni mics. I think the sound quality is not as good as the recording with the Sony PCM-M10 and external cardioid mics. And at some point, the recorder stopped recording and I had to restart recording. I don't think I lost too much, just a small gap. If anyone wants to hear this recording, I can give it to oliverd05 or anyone else who wants to process it.

Which brings up another point. The Hollywood Bowl has the most beautiful acoustics!!! The 1st night I was in what is generally considered the most ideal place for recording audio, fairly close to the sound engineer's box. And I used cardioid mics, which is the mic of choice at that distance. The 2nd night I was very close to the FOH speakers. The acoustics is usually not as good so close to the stage and speakers, at least not at most venues, and omni mics are generally the best at this location.

But at the Hollywood Bowl, the acoustics was the best I've ever heard!!! Crystal clear to my ears - I could make out every word!!! WOW!!! What a venue!!! And there is no distortion due to sound bouncing off of arena walls. The little bit of sound bouncing off the hills surrounding the bowl was just enough to enrich the acoustics!

And the 2nd night recording turned out, I think, slightly better than the 1st night from an acoustics perspective (but more distracting audience talking). Even with the cardioid mics and turning my head back & forth to see the main stage and the back of the B-stage, I got better audio than the 1st night!!
