Hi smilefairyqueen,
The only quirk I saw was that "need" to argue and fight with his boyfriends. That was foreign to my behavior, but then again I never had artistic,
creative energy to recharge.

Hello Bullet with Butterfly Wings,
Greetings brunogorski,
Thank you both so much for your pleasant entries. I'm glad you find this thread interesting. I haven't conjured up
these thoughts in many years. It is fun for me and takes me back to an outstandingly fulfilling 1980 to 1983.
Ain't youth great!!

Hi Thor,
thanks for your reply.... I just was curious to see if you may have met another "source" or as it turned out did not..." fan" and "boring " aren't words I'd use, but who am I to judge ?
( I have admired the Queen II cover with the Marlene Dietrich pose forever since 1979 when I first had a chance to listen to Queen after a friend saw them in concert to promote the Jazz album.....shortly after I got familiar with the other seventies albums incl. Queen II without bothering who the photographer of Queen II and Sheer Heart Attack was until 2 years ago when I rediscovered the band of my youth again thanks to youtube etc... and no censorship. I have spent most of my adult years in Asia without much updates on the Western world).

conundrumme,
So nice to read your response. Freddie used to get excited about that video and told us..."Look, look, I stop chasing her to play a note on the piano." He got a kick out of that.

Dear Thor,
did Freddie ever tell you who he wrote that song for?
I love the song so much, it`s so full of energy and good feelings.

Thor,
When was the last time you saw Freddie did he ever mentioned his musical legacy?
Was he wondering what would happen to Queen after?
Did he mention something about the will, was he concerned about what would happen to Jim,Jo,Phoebe and his cats after his deat?
I don't have any more questions, but I continue to read.
Thanks a lot.:)

Hi Thor. How big was his John Thomas?
Sorry if i sound insensitive but you're the only on here with first-hand experience of his magic flute!
Thanks for your answer to my other question by the way regarding Paul Rodgers.

Did you ever run into Rock Hudson, Dan Hartman or Gaetan Dougas in those clubs?

Hello Thor. Thank you very much for visiting this site and sharing your memories and anecdotes about Freddie. I am constantly logging in just to read the updates and it's lovely to read things that have never been shared before e.g regarding Delilah.
Here in the UK (well in England and Wales, Scotland didn't follow until 1980) it's been 50 years since homosexuality was partially decriminalised so there's been a lot of programmes on the BBC. Of course, although 'legal' there were still massive restrictions on behaviour and of course public attitudes were still mostly intolerant and even hostile.
My question - did you ever have conversations about what you all felt about the general attitudes back then towards homosexuality, the discrimination that people faced and the fact that it was so difficult to be open as a gay individual?
Did Freddie ever express any opinions about gay musical artists who were open about their sexuality - I know that many were still closeted, apart from a minority, as it could potentially damage their career. A few exceptions in the UK were Holly Johnson from Frankie Goes to Hollywood and Jimmy Somerville with Bronski Beat and The Communards (Not sure you were familiar with them in the states). They caused quite a stir if I remember.
Do you remember if he ever expressed opinions about Pride,Stonewall and those who were were lobbying for gay rights?
Thank you. I appreciate that you're being bombarded with questions and of course the passage time means that you'll be struggling to remember everything that us nosey lot want to know.

He told us funny "inside stories" some of which I should not
repeat.[/QUOTE]
But that's precisely the stuff we want to hear the most ! The dynamics between the band members and how it contributed to the band's ongoing history is what people likely most want to understand.

Very aptly put.

Sorry The Real Wizard,
I do not want to reveal things that I have no right to reveal. This is where I draw the line on this thread.
Thank you for your SECOND reply.

I understand why you wouldn't want to reveal those stories. I think most of us just want to hear about your experiences being his friend and the fun times you guys had together.

Thank you Costa86 and smilefairyqueen for your understanding. I am a loyal friend of Freddie's and not a gossip monger. Both of your messages were very kind.
