Yes please cut out the arguments, this is a very good thread.

was freddie someone who approached the men he fancied or did he wait for others to make the first move? i always thought he seemed like a very shy person?

Thank you for your support Costa86.

St. Pepper,
I will gladly answer your question. This thread has become so long and involved that I do not wish for anyone to go through it all to find
an answer buried in page 10 or wherever.

Freddie never made the first move and it was not because he was shy or timid but rather he wanted someone who was really interested
in HIM to approach first...He was very much delighted that I approached him first and without even knowing who he was. I hope you can
remember the limousine tailgate story when Freddie wanted to drive back to his hotel in MY car. If you don't, I'll be glad to repeat it.

did you think he was nice looking and all? i think his teeth were cute and his hairy chest is nice, do you? and his eyes!!!

thank you thor that does ring a bell! i read something sometime ago in some book about freddie that he fancied a guy named victor who was also a bar guy in LA. anyway this guy had a harley and freddie was over the moon about it. he nearly gave mr freestone a heart attack when he insisted on riding on the back of the bike. although freestone seemed happy to have the limo all to himself close behind lol. not unlike your story. did you ever own a bike yourself?
C
^ That was Vince "The Barman" Gioielli. Did you and the NYC guys ever meet him Thor? Phoebe said he was a nice dude apparently.

Thor being that youre from America and Freddie from England, did you ever have a hard time keeping up with his phrases or did he have any trouble with ours? I have a friend who lives in England and we talk for hours but I swear to God sometimes she drops a word or phrase in that Ive never heard before and I have to use context clues to figure out what she's telling me LOL

Hi Plasma Pen,
Freddie did not think his teeth were cute and hairy chests were just fine in the '80s. I saw a handsome guy and I did not have a checklist
of unacceptable body flaws, if indeed there were any. I DID, however, have a checklist of negative TRAITS such as vanity, name
dropping to impress, nothing intelligent to say....Freddie had none of these.
T
Panchgani,
Sorry, but I don't know WHAT to nevermind.
P
Thor my got question got squashed in the fight, I think.

Did Freddie wear cologne?
T
St Pepper,
I never had a bike (but tons of Harley Davidson T-shirts...LOL). Brandon had one when we met but was in the
process of buying a car. The only bike I saw Freddie on was on the "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" video.

I have to correct you on one statement. Peter got no thrill from riding in a limousine by himself. He would have
way prefered that Freddie was with him and people like me, to just follow them. "happy to have the limo all to himself"
does not fit with the Phoebe I knew.
T
No problem PJ,
I think he did use cologne besides normal deodorant but it was never overwhelming or an asthma trigger to others.
S
you could be right. i dont recall which book it was but i thought it said he thought it was nice to have the limo to himself. thanks for the response
