Thanks for the reply noorie. Just goes to show you how humble Freddie really was. The boarding school sounds pretty rough. I know those schools have history of being pretty abusive. At least it sounds like they had a good time though.
It also makes me wonder why Freddie was so against talking about his childhood and boarding school days. Perhaps there was some trauma that happened there that Freddie wanted to forget about.
When it comes to Miserable fandom, mine is short and far from sweet.
I was 11 when the Magic Tour started and my older cousin had two tickets. I spent weeks arguing with my parents and convincing them I was old enough to go (my cousin being 14/15). Eventually they gave in and agreed. Woo-hoo. I couldn't wait.
Sadly I was too excited, the night before Wembley (Saturday I think) I was sick. Couldn't stop throwing up with nerves. My parents quite rightly thought I was ill despite my protestations and alas I never got to see Freddie live.
I'm still miserable about it.
