I'd actually like to see the Queen Extragavanza play the whole NOTW album in it's entirety. Not interested in the lambert circus.

A friend of mine saw them at Mohegan Sun in CT last night and spoke with a roadie about the dropping of SYW and It's Late. The roadie said they were dropped because of 'time constraints.' Not sure if I'm buying that, as you'd think they would have had all the timing worked out well before the tour started.
That said, one of the last performances of SYW from July 4th is a condensed version, without the fast rocking section toward the end. That version sounded great and I didn't see any issues with it being a difficult song to either sing or play, so I don't subscribe to that reason, either. Sure, it's not as well known a tune as the regular hits, but NOTW is one of their best selling US albums. I think Queen aren't giving the US audiences enough credit.
Still, couldn't they cut IWTBF instead, especially considering the video for the song was likely one of the reasons for Queen's demise in the US in the 80's?

Spread Your Wings should replace 'Two Fux', it would fit in nicely there

They could even include them in a medley or mix Its Late with Get Down Make Love like in the BBC sessions...they could start 5 minutes earlier too... .I doubt its time but they must also be tough to play...and there are better substitutes to IWTBF...for me it is ok but doesn't add anything to the show whereas a NOTW gem would....and why not let newcomers hear some gems... interesting 3 songs from each of the Works, NOTW,Jazz, 2 from the Game, and none from Innuendo?
Having said all that I have to give them credit for putting on an amazing show...

Interestingly the QE's drummer obviously doesn't agree with your comment!

Most would consider graduating from a tribute band to the real band to be a positive step forward. His resume now says he toured with one of the biggest rock bands of all time.
What's on yours?

The real band was Freddie, Brian, Roger and John.
Oh and what is or isn't on my resume has no bearing whatsoever on my having an opinion and the right to express that opinion freely on an internet forum. If you take offence at my calling it a circus then not my problem i'm afraid.

So if you were putting a band together and Tyler's name was put forward you would ignore that he has toured on a pro basis with a successful international Arena level band because you view it as a circus.
You, with that line of thought, would have to turn down almost every other musician because almost every other band with a long history fits your circus criteria.

It's not so much that I personally take offense as much as you're just plain misguided and myopic in your views. You are letting your emotional connection to a band lineup that no longer exists cloud over your ability to see two members of that band do something else, to the point of personally attacking one of the members of the touring band for the simple act of getting a good job.
So yes - pointing out your lack of musical understanding highlights how unqualified you are to judge his choices and associated success. Indeed, you're free to express that on a forum, just as much as others are free to fill in the blanks of what you're missing.
But considering you also trolled a friend of Freddie Mercury's earlier today by asking about the size of the late singer's genitals, perhaps the two minutes used up on this post of mine could have been better spent.
