Hello all, I'm new here. Apologizes in advance if this is the wrong section.

Anyhow, while I was listening to Queen songs on YT last week I clicked on Now I'm Here, however it wasn't the version I was familiar with on my albums. I was wondering if any you guys (and gals') know why there are two different versions. And which is the correct version, thanks!

One I'm familiar with:

One on the official Queen channel:

They're both "correct" - unless I'm missing something, the second one you have linked is just clearly a live version compared to the studio one. This is just trolling, right?[/QUOTE]

The 2nd one is from Rainbow '74

Thanks, Cruella. And no, I wasn't trolling. I genuinely didn't know their "Official videos" were sometimes from live shows. Thanks for the help, again.

Now I'm Here didn't really have an official music video until the release of the Box of Flix VHS back around 1992.

I think that included the live video from the QueenOfficial YouTube channel but was dubbed with the studio version of the song.

Then when they started uploading music videos to YouTube they decided to use the live audio. Perhaps because they were working on the release of the Rainbow'74 concert anyway.

So yes, it's not standard for an official music video to be a live version but it happens.

Love of My Life is the only other example I can think of where this happened.

and as usual, anyone can correct me where I am wrong :)

There's also one in which Mike Stone says "let's have some rock n roll" and the regular album version kicks in but that one is unreleased.
