...and which track should they cover?

I remember this being featured in a few OIQFC mags back in the 90s and i really liked the idea and there were some real inspired picks (just can't remember them now).

But if i'd have to make a compilation, this would be it:

Foo Fighters - Tie Your Mother Down
U2 - Don't Try So Hard
Katy Perry - Killer Queen
Daft Punk+Giorgio Moroder - Love Kills
Ed Sheeran - Love Of My Life
Bruno Mars - Cool Cat
Radiohead - The Prophets Song
Arctic Monkeys - I Can't Live With You
Gorillaz - Bicycle Race
Rufus Wainwright - Dreamer's Ball
Franz Ferdinand - The Invisible Man
HAIM+Hayley Williams - Under Pressure
Fall Out Boy - Dragon Attack
Lorde - Drowse
Manic Street Preachers - Sheer Heart Attack
Lady Gaga - Get Down, Make Love
Robbie Williams - We Will Rock You
Muse - We Are The Champions
We love you Mandy!

Great thread. Would love to see Green Day in the list somewhere.

^ Gorrilaz - Bicycle Race *INSPIRED CHOICE!

I'd actually like to hear that!
[Edit]

U2 - Don't Try So Hard. ...I just can't imagine it
"Come tonight! Come see the Overbite! Come to Ogre Battle, FIGHT!"

would like to hear Keane, Robert Plant, Elbow.
I guess radiohead could do reindition of "don't try so hard".
Dream Theater with "death on two legs"-"flick of the wrist (well, they already did).
Pain of Salvation doing "Innuendo" or Prophet's song or It's Late

Extreme. Dead on Time. Nuno would rip that fucking thing to shreds and do justice to Brian's vision.

I've always thought Killer Queen would suite Blur, has the same quintessential English heart.
I'd have loved to have heard Chris Cornell sing a queen song. I've heard actually that he was supposed to be singing instead of Rogers at the awards show but he was ill, that would have been interesting.
I'm very surprised that the Manics haven't covered Queen yet as James is a huge fan and has a similar voice to Freddie.

Guns n Roses have covered snippets over the years in live shows aside from when Bri has joined them for a mutual wank fest. In 92 Axle would preface Patience with a verse from Sail Away Sweet Sister.

Eddie Vedder has butchered Under Pressure a couple of times, strangely that has become a popular song to cover live.

Why on earth would you possibly want those dreary cunts Elbow butchering a Queen song? Total antithesis to Queen.

Total antithesis to Queen - that's why it can be interesting. I can imagine them doing "in only seven days" for instance.

I'd imagine:
Lady Gaga - Ninja Sex Party
RHCP - Dancer
Green Day - Sheer Heart Attack
The Darkness - Somebody To Love
Metallica - White Man

That's all I can think of atm, so I guess this would be an EP.
