Is there any song in which the backing vocals were not sung by members of the band but by some other (male or female) singers?

What about We Will Rock You? Wasn't there some tech staff chanting along?

Teo Torriatte, and the ending of Seven Seas Of Rhye also.

'Play the Game' featured Andy Gibb singing backing vocals alongside the founding members. Frederick was quite impressed with the result, so they may have ended up on the final cut, unless of course lyrics changed or something like that.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

Not really backing vocals but since someone will add it to the list, Joan Armatrading on 'Don't lose your head.'

Mike Stone on Good Old Fashioned Loverboy. The lady voice on Leaving Home Ain't Easy is Brian with a pitch shifter/tape speed change as far as I can tell.

Aren't there some female backing vocals on "A Kind of Magic", or if I'm being misled by the video?

Fun question ...

Somehow this question might not have been asked on QZ in the last 17 years.
