Hey folks,
I know it's the wrong section and maybe even the wrong forum because it's not Queen related.
I found this link on DIME in a thread where a recording of "The Who" was shared. This guy was the taper and the story he tells about is live as a taper in these 13 minutes is very nice to enjoy.

So, feel free to give it a try. He taped nearly 1000 shows and was part of JEMS who brought Queen's Seattle show from 1977 to light.
Kind regards,
W.

Jared was a good friend and his contribution to music will never be fully recognised.

Thanks for sharing that. As a taper myself, that was really enjoyable. Very sad about his passing.

What a lovely video.
Guys like him are heroes. They preserve music history that would otherwise be lost forever.

Beautiful.

Thanks. Great video. This also may be of interest to some of you. It's quite long, but interesting if you are a filmer or a taper, or even if you are into ROIO's in general. I'm sure some of you will enjoy it.

Sad to hear. My gratitude goes to anyone who preserves musical history (unless it's an Ed Sheeran show :p)

Can't tell you how much this hits home. Taping was really, initially, something I did for myself as a document of the show I went to. I never thought anybody else would hear them, let alone want them. All my friends thought they sounded like crap. But over time you got to see this network develop, and after getting my name and address in an issue of the Queen Fan Club magazine I met many other tapers from around the world and we sent cassettes to each other by snail mail.
RIP

Possibly. JEMS was a group of four guys (Jared was the J of the group).

Nice! I usually do audio + video at the same time so this is quite nice to see! Thanks.
