Your choosing a wierd path. Pink Floyd replaced Roger Waters (for live work) recorded two albums without him and toured the world on the back of those albums
Gilmour, if you recall, replaced their original Guitar player/vocalist, or did you just happen to forget that? The same as Coverdale replace Gillan, Hogarth replaced Fish, Genisis lost two members and filled the gaps in the lineup with two live musicians. The list of bands replacing members is endless.
Plant and Page reunited toured and recorded some interesting music, but they still played Zeppilin material.
Circle of what ever said earlier that Zeppilin rehearsed with a number of drummers after 1980. This is true. They clearly planned to tour and or record again, they didn't, not because they didn't want too but because they couldn't find a drummer they were happy with.
Brian and Roger have clearly found a singer they like and feel they can work with. If you don't like it so what millions of people around the world do.
