Thank you so much. So, if the studio footage is of the BBC sessions, does it lend credence to the possibility of BBC version of Champions, or the were extra guitar and vocal bits designed for adding to the promo video? Hmmm. Looking at what we see of Houston, is the fact the footage is a somewhat less than stellar been a deciding factor in not releasing a full live DVD??[/QUOTE]

As I've said before in other threads (for those that didn't see them), "The Summit" apparantly had their own in-house camera crew which would mean that (for reasons of cost!) they most likely filmed on Hi Band Umatic tapes - hence the quality.

As for looking less than steller, don't forget that the source is NTSC as well.

For all we know, there may be rights issues involved which prevent a full release.

Bet you're all fed up with downloading this now: first in SD then in HD from iplayer and now you can have the ultimate version - an actual transmission stream capture with no re-encoding at all: just topped and tailed.

I wonder who would own the rights to the tape since the Summit doesn't exist anymore... The building is a church now.

Interesting.
I presume buy that you mean the Summit building has been knocked down and replaced by a Church?
