I don´t get it. Why someone who are not a Freddie or Queen fan would know why yesterday was so special?
I know it because I´m a massive Queen fan since the 80´s.
But there are tons of other bands special dates that I don´t remember... for instance, at this very moment, I can´t recall from the top of my head the day Elvis Presley died.
That doesn´t mean I don´t have respect for the King.
I can´t stand AL myself, but I can understand if a AL fan can not answer correctly about the day which Freddie passed way.
One don´t need to be a Queen fan to be a AL fan.
And that´s ok...a lot of Queen fans don´t like Adam, and I bet the reverse is true (and they have the right to think that way, like we do about AL).
You guys need to relax a little bit...go enjoy Freddie amazing work instead of pick up fights on internet.

Lambert and the Glamberts have been very respectful to Freddie and his memory. It is some Queen fans who don’t accept and respect this QAL collaboration who post the nasty remarks in this forum and others and who don’t care about keeping the Queen music live and alive. Thank goodness the people who come to the shows are still expressing their love and support!

BTW I do remember the date of August 16, 1977 when Elvis, the King of Rock and Roll, died. That was my sister’s birthday and she was visiting us from Tucson, AZ that day.

SweetCaroline thank you for pint out Elvis date. I am a mess when it comes about date.
About the nasty remarks...don´t worry about that. This place was full of negative comments long before Queen + Adam Lambert exists.
They used to talk like that about Paul Rodgers too (now this one I like very much).
There are wonderful people who already gave and give amazing gifts for the Queen community, but by other hand it´s full of negative users and trolls.
My advice is; don´t feed then.

This was posted 8 hours ago on Twitter by a Glambert in respect of Freddie — it is possible to love both men:

Elvis has just left the building
Those are his foot prints right there
Elivis has just left the building, to climb up that heavenly stair.
He gave away Cadillacs once in while
Had sex in his underpants yes he had style. . . . .

F Zappa

I remember that day too, but I'm not a fan.

rubens, thanks for the nice words! I was so thrilled when Brian and Roger wanted Adam to sing with them in 2011 in Belfast at the EMAs. I went to the QOL forum because I was so excited about this wonderful, powerful music being performed by a wonderful, powerful singer. To my dismay I was met with nothing but negativity and nastiness. You can’t love Adam’s amazing talent and still love and be true to Freddie’s amazing talent as well? Adam is such a humble, gracious and respectful man he doesn’t deserve the crap thrown at him! If I say nice things about him I am accused of defending him instead of merely giving him his due! I’m really happy for this collaboration and hope it proves beneficial for everyone connected to it, cast and crew alike!

Whatever magic they had is long gone. They are keeping the Queen brand alive, nothing more.

I felt the magic at the QAL show I attended in July!

It could've been an upset stomach.

THIS is what gives me an upset stomach:

What has Adel's, or any other artists earnings got to do with any of this.

The Stones and U2 have probably earned more than AL in the last year.

And if you use not liking Edel as a reason, think for a minute about how and why some people don't like Mr Lambert. What's OK for you isn't OK for the rest of the world?

Vocal Harmony... sweetcaroline is upset because Lambert doesn't get the nominations, awards, press, sell as much...everything that some artists do. It's butthurt on Lambert's behalf to the extreme. I don't even think Lambert gives TwoFux about it anymore, yet sweetcaroline/CNB still is there to promote and protect him.

@ Sweetcaroline...How has some Glamberts been respectful to Freddie? One said who cares yesterday, and you didn't know what date is was...on this thread. Then you brought up Live Aid again and said I didn't watch it. I explained to you that I did, and you said who cares.
You know full well why I could not go to a Q+AL show a few months back. My mother took suddenly ill and that came first. That still wasn't good enough for you, because you told me to come back to QOL after I went to a concert. How dare you? Do you think your constant spamming is helping? Your constant put downs and lies towards me? Do you think any of that is going to help your cause of promoting, protecting and defending AL? Lambert doesn't care what I or anyone else thinks!
You say you went to QOL because you were excited. Bullshit...you have spammed the crap and threw crap over there since your started to post. You do the exact same thing here. You blame me for your ban over there, when I had nothing to do with it!

Ppl like sweet caroline were what made the 2014 show in the pit, absolutely dreadful.

They encouraged everything Lambert did, even wailing regular words. It was terrible. They didn't know Queen material either....and it was a pitiful feeling to see my heroes on stage playing to this disrespectful ignorant lot.

That's why i enjoyed the NOTW early shows so much. They actually threw the rock and roll at you.

It was fantastic. I sung my arse off like a true fan and enjoyed it.

I wasn't there to marvel at fatty's boots
