Hi guys is there much difference between the dvd and the bbc documentary which was on? My good wife is getting me it for chrimbo but was just wondering as i dont want to build my hopes up for this documentary only for it to be shite or practically like the bbc version? cheers guys n gals and have a great xmas when it comes

It has some scenes that the BBC-version didn't have and vice versa. As stupid as that is, it's QPL we're talking about after all.
Some bright spark must be making a 'complete' version?
The DVD has no Adam or Bob in it and it has a nice surprise at the end. Also, the menu is nicely done.
I would like to see someone compiling a Bob Harris documentary since we have so much now. Maybe nearly 2 hours now? There are many released sources that can be used. I remember someone made a compilation a couple of years ago.
My American Dream would be to get those complete soundboards from all those shows! They have several... And those shows were just so good.
Being also a huge Bruce Springsteen fan I bought 4 complete shows in flac from him last week (at half price so only 22 euro for 4 complete shows from 1978, 1980, 1984 and 1988).
Queen should do the same and offer these soundboards for digital sale in lossless quality.
THAT would be a product aimed at the fan and it would make up for the drama of the "100 best bootlegs" from so many moons ago.

It's literally too obvious they should make something like this!

Like you cay - digital sale, lossless quality, no autotune!, no overdubs or any other edits.
I just can't understand why they do not make a "Queen live store". It'd be such a simple way to 1) commercialise those old tapes they DO have and 2) make their die-hard fan community (which is huge) a lot more enthusiastic and forgiving towards the products aimed at mass consumption.

Shows they obviously have like those NOTW 1977 ones, or Crazy tour ones... They're waaaaay too mindblowingly good to be sat on a shelf!

A live store would be fantastic for us die-hard fans and I don't think it would be too hard/expensive to implement. I think Bandcamp would be a great model to imitate: a simple, painless experience with no geographic restrictions or DRM...
Don't be ridiculous. That would cheapen their brand, and their legacy, and make Freddie boring!!!
Now go buy their Hot Space Hot Sauce as a Christmas present.
Please tell me there is a Hot Space Hot Sauce.
