I've never really posted in the this personal section before, but here goes. My brother was an avid Queen fan and collector since the beginning. His collection of rare Queen CD's and memorbilia is enormous, he would think nothing of spending £500 on a one-track Japanese promo for example. He was a regular at Queen fan club conventions. Just wondering if anyone on here came across him, Matthew 'Matty' Bell?
Thanks,
Alan.

Can't say I've heard of him to be honest. Did he pass away?

Hi did. He has a massive Queen collection, and was a regular at the conventions.

Sorry to hear that Alan. His name is familiar to me - possibly through trading - although I never met him.

I am sorry to hear that. I'm sure you are in bits now so it's nice of you to think of and reach out to Queen fans who might have known him.

Thanks Guys. I will be cataloging his collection and sharing. Not looking to sell anything, just thought you guys may be interested in what he had manged to get. It is a hell of a job, it is enormous. My brother wasn't into bootlegs, so not going to find a Sunbury anywhere, his collection was mainly promos, demos etc. I've also been in contact with Greg Brooks, who has been really kind and very helpful I must add, as well as other members of this forum, specifically Gary and Bob. I've even found a photo wallet with a stack of photos from the Queen gigs in 1979 at Newcastle City Hall.
Anyway, yes, we are in bits, but I know he would've wanted to share what he has collated over the years.
Cheers guys,
Alan.

I'm sorry to hear about your brothers passing. I did not know him, but I wish you and your family the best in dealing with this loss. From the sound of it, I think your brother would be proud of your efforts to keep his collection meaningful.

I did not know him, but an online friend of mine spoke very highly of him. RIP.
