I have read a few articles online recently regarding the Richard Dadd paintng, a couple of them mention that when Queen released Queen II they included a fold out poster of the paintng. I have never heard this mentioned before on Queen forums and i was just wondering if this Is true or just another online misunderstanding?
Here is a link to one them. http://preraphaelitesisterhood.com/freddie-mercury-and-the-madness-of-richard-dadd/

False.

It is an invented story. Queen II LPs with poster would have been circulating at least a bit and probably would have been collectable items (just like Jazz and its poster) and I've never even seen any mention about it since I'm collecting records.

Plus Queen were relatively unknown at the time of the albums release and their low status wouldn't have merited an extra like this.

I'm not sure about that - an unknown band having a gatefold sleeve is pretty out there.
The painting is about the size of a shoe so not sure a big poster would work.

That would be a big shoe. It was more like 21"x15"

Thanks for sharing.
As I read the article, it is suggested that the inner of the gatefold would have had the painting printed.
