In 1985 queen headlined two night on the biggest music festival to date, 10 days rock in rio festival.
They played for 250 000 people (some source say 350 000 or even 470 000) the biggest
audience they ever played. Freddie and rest of the band give strong and very solid
perfomances, especially on first night. thats why most of the officialy released material
are mostly used from first night (Broadcast, cd, etc). freddie upset nearly whole crowd
on first night during i want to break free because he wear fake woman hair and big fake boobs.
Crowd didnt get the reference and start to fight, which was getting worse especialy
during very energy jailhouse rock perfomance and queen need to make encore wait.
Few people and other band members said that freddie was in backstage (during encore wait)
very sad and in tears because of the unexpected crowd reaction. to apologise freddie
wear both british and brazil flag during we will rock you. some sources say that setlist
was suposed to be longer but few songs was cancelled do to various reason.

I wouldn't be surprised if 99% of that was made up by the British media after the Sun City incident.
It took a lot longer than 10 minutes to embroider those two flags together. It was always in the plan.

I agree that the flag thing is bollocks - it was clearly standard procedure to have UK flag and local flag (see also Tokyo 85, Budapest 86).
The 'falsie causing riot' could also be false - reports were that the crowd were throwing stuff until he took them off, but there's no footage of that, so maybe any disturbance in the crowd was coincidental? Further, if Freddie was in tears after that, he'd have topped himself after Slane...

But - then why did Mercury not do the boob thing on the second night? It's literally the only night on the Works tour where he didn't do the gag.
Maybe it was just to get the press off their backs.
maybe he was just scared to wear them again. after crowd fighting and knowledge what media can do(especialy after sun city), the last thing what he want to do is to ruin band reputation in brazil? Next question i have is why he didnt wear its hard life costume as well, he wear only this fake hear for W.A.T.CH.
