I always thought that the high notes on that song, the "ahhhhhhh!!!!" came from Brian's guitar. Just last week I heard in You Tube that those notes came from Freddie's voice. The post was talking about Freddie's voice range. So, which is it?

If you're talking the elongated, super high 'why', then yes, that's absolutely Freddie's voice.

I don't think I can do it as good as Freddie, but the world will never know because I don' dare to sing it in front of people. Lol

Hate to burst your bubble, but plenty of professional singers can hit high notes in falsetto.
Freddie is one of the best rock singers ever, but it wasn't because he could reach high notes.

Indeed, Freddie could sing pretty high in falsetto. I think, it's him singing there, although I've also read some speculation, that it might have been Roger.
As for falsetto per se: many singers can sing high using it. And Freddie was a master of it. I found it interesting, that, although Adam Lambert can sing higher than Freddie could in full voice, he (Adam) barely uses falsetto.
You can hear the difference very well, when you listen to QAL's latest live rendition of "Under Pressure". Adam is belting the "Why". Both versions are completely stunning IMO. And completely different in their technique.

Roger's falsetto sounds completely different to that. It's Frederick.

I actually agree with that....he did have good range and hit high notes, but they're singers who sang higher and have a wider range. Freddie is still better than most or all of those Rock singers. He has that "It" factor. The sound of his his voice is what I like most. His ability too sing different styles so well is a bigger factor why he's so great. I was listening to the alternate version of Guide Me Home/How Could I Go On and was really Impressed when I heard Freddie sing Cabelle's parts, and for a second I thought it was her singing it. He really did a great Job singing like her. Really Impressive.

Agreed. Those outtakes show his versatility as a singer.
