All,

on https://www.udiscovermusic.com/news/abba-rolling-stones-record-store-day/ it is stated that Roger will release a 10" of Journey's End for RSD in april 2018.

Do you think this is the same coloured one that was for sale end of 2017 or a black vinyl (since there is no mention of it being coloured vinyl)?

Roger is in creative output mode.

He’s experimenting like a musician early in their career.

Will he release the same thing as last year...probably not.

He’s too forward looking right now.

Please be careful with praises, i'm still recovering after yesterday's eulogy dedicated to the polite, logical, rational, critical, positive Sebastian.
Are you serious about Roger, or your jokes are too sophisticated for me?

I’m serious.

On a simplistic level, we can predict someone’s behaviour based their way they acted last time. We are creatures of habit.

Roger takes risks, perhaps sometimes when he should not. This results in two things...mistakes & creativity. There is a fine line between mistakes & creativity. It’s adverse to perfection - it’s a willingness to let go of something when you still feel a sense of uncertainty. So Roger is probably an admirer of Hendrix, but he’s also got a bit of that feeling thumping thru his own veins. He’s also humerous, playful & fun.

It’s unlikely Roger will release the same thing again. It’s more likely he’ll say fuck it, I always wanted to share these sounds and I’m gonna do it.

This is entirely a personal opinion. Who of us expected Journeys End? More insightful, when Queen were going quiet because Freddie was resting, who here expected The Cross?

My prediction, worth no more or less than seagull's, is that this will be an exact copy of the US version. Possibly even being the remainder of the original pressing.

He's not trying THAT hard - one track since Fun On Earth (itself a roundup of the preceding 5 years)...

It's on a different label this time (UMC) so will probably not be an exact copy ;)

Thank you for the answer seagull, i'm a Roger fan too so there is no point of arguing on this.
Just not sure how much risky, creative, experimental and forward looking can be a 70 years old artist in general. Especially one who works better in team than solo, as time proved.

If this image is the sleeve, it will at least have a different sleeve as the 2017 one.

Not only that, it's released in a different territory as well.
Remember that the 2017 10" release officially was only released in the US, this is the first time it has a physical European release.

This release only has 2 tracks (original & instrumental)
Whereas the US had 4tracks inc remixes of different tracks.
So straight away is substandard .

Perhaps the audio quality will be better, there were several reports that the US release was poor. A four track black vinyl would have been better received for sure. Almost every release seems to be a wind up these days.

Revision--- RSD link now states BLACK vinyl two track EP!
