Cute little track. Reminds me a bit of the Q+PR collabo.

At about 2mins in I knew exactly how this was gonna end and I was right! Not bad but Brian is so predictable these days.

Maybe. But he does serve the song instead of trying to outshine it. Compare that to Vai when he was in Whitesnake, absolutely stealing the show every time. Brian's not that type of person. The problem is the song is awful (Sorry Rick). Like a parody that Aldous Snow would do. African Child/Twinkletoes :)

Coverdale allowed Vai to record as the only guitarist despite Whitesnake being a two guitar line up. Vai's contract was one album and tour. At the time he was equally focussed on Passion and Warfare. Coverdale even allowed him to play tracks from it live.
He used the deal to promote himself and Coverdale seemed happy to let him
