Stupid kids around the world are filming themselves snorting condoms until they come back out through their mouths.

Absolute morons.

Back in my day, they only had glue.

Jesus, I thought you're joking. It sounded too stupid to be true. I guess I give humanity too much credit

There’s been several stupid challenges over the last few years, salt and ice challenge, where you literally create a burn wound on your arm.

Knock/Pass Out challenge, where you basically suffocate yourself to get that ‘high’ of passing out.

Condom snorting as stated above.

People setting themselves on fire and jumping into pools.

What the hell is all I can say.

So, mostly just BS alarmism - most of the videos are from 2013 or earlier, and it was just a few nutjobs, not widespread. So why all the craze about it? Probably because people like to be outraged, and in particular, old people like to be annoyed at kids.

This sort of behavior should not be promoted (or highlighted). What does it achieve?

What's it meant to achieve? I didn't set out for an "achievement". I was just making a comment about something I saw and found ridiculous. The remark was, of course, flippant. If people want to discuss it, then that's up to them. That's kind of what happens in forums. You are welcome to join in (or not). If it's not to your taste (or to anyone's for that matter), then there's a simple option.

I'm not promoting it (as promotion would be telling you how great it is and advocating your participation - which I'm sure you're not dumb enough to do anyway). Also, it wouldn't need promotion from me, as it was already a "thing". Am I highlighting it? Not in the sense you're implying, as that's the same as promotion. I'm just shocked that people would be so stupid (although I shouldn't really be), so posted about it.

What did it achieve, in the end? Well, TQ has shown its not as new, or widespread, as I thought (although the video I saw on social media was much later, or so it was implied). Chin has spoken about other silly viral challenges and videos. That might not interest you, but for me it comes in handy. Why? Well, I like to partake in quizzes (and host them) and sometimes silly crazes and natural selection type questions come up. That's not what I set out to "achieve", but it was a cool by-product of the post.

I think it was pretty clear from your opening post that you were being facetious. I mean, the "back in my day, they only had glue"-line was very funny, but not very subtle.

Correct. But that's because I don't do subtitles ;)

Perhaps these bottom feeders have discovered a brand new way of conceiving and are doing the world a favour by snorting the old French Letters to protect themselves from reproducing.

Perhaps that'll protect them from spreading HIV too.

Maybe they're a bunch of geniuses after all.......?

But, then again........

This reminds me of that Jackass stunt where this guy stuffed a small, condom-coated Hot Wheels car up his ass, and shat it out.

But Jesus, this makes snorting cocaine look better.

it is better!
