And here we finally are - an exclusive release specifically tied to an album, and to promote a tour....without a single note of music in it!

For the price they charged for the 'bone us' release, these stupid items should have been included.
I feel for the poor Portugese fans......or any other idiot who shells out their money for this.

For the price of an official t-shirt this package is a good deal for those who are interested in it.
Merchandising and live shows is where the money is these days. Nothing wrong with that.
If you don't like it, don't buy it. Simple.

You seem to be suggesting that we're not allowed to criticize lousy products. Not so.
Queen has become an empty, soulless merchandising machine. A sad and ignominious end to a once-great band, and something that will (not "might") tarnish Queen's reputation in the future.

I'm not suggesting anything.
Feel free to criticize anything you want!
What's a lousy product for one person, might be a great product for another person.
We all have different opinions.

People can criticise what they want, but I don't really get what the problem is with this product. Are you going to go about moaning at every band that ever sold a t-shirt, badge or mug (or figure, mouse-mat, stationery set etc etc)? It's just a bit of merch. Everyone does it. What's the issue?

I couldn't agree more. The more time passes since Freddie's death, the more the whole Queen legacy is being treated badly.
And, the saddest thing is that the "Queen" aura has been lost. You think of great bands like Led Zep, Pink Floyd, The Beatles - some of which have long since disbanded, others still doing live performances - and you still picture them positively.
When it comes to Queen, they've become a sort of overweight Elvis Impersonator, doing his moves 40 years after the singers death, with all the charm kicked out of the equation - just a sad imitation.

You've got to be joking, right? Zep, Floyd and The Beatles are also guilty of rehashing material, overpriced boxsets and bringing out tonnes of merch. At the end of the day, you either buy it or you don't. The only reason you're viewing these guys more positively and getting pissed at Queen is that you choose to get pissed at Queen. It's a grievance, and you're using other big names to highlight your annoyance, without actually realising that these other big names are equally culpable.

Has Zep, Floyd or the Beatles released a five disk set with only one disk of non-recycled songs?

Your skewing this somewhat. You are, of course, referring to the NOTW box as a "5 disc set". Take one of the five out - it's an LP. Now you have 4 Discs. 2 of these discs (one being a DVD), in their entirety. were unreleased. The other was a mish-mash of stuff, but a number of tracks unreleased. So you got 2.5 discs of new stuff. That meant 1 re-released album and half a disc of filler stuff. Have the Beatles done that? You bet they have. The Sgt. Pepper box set included two versions of the album and a DVD of stuff that had been on TV years and years ago. Have Zep done it? I'm pretty sure the boxes they brought out a couple of years back were an excuse to re-release albums, with a few discs of out-takes.
At the end of the day, folk are pissing their pants at a bit of merch Queen released in another country. Big whoop.

Led Zep is a much inferior product with very little material compared to Queen
