Dream Theatre played ANATO in its entirety but for the life of me I've never been able to find it anywhere.

Always liked the Neko Case & Her Boyfriends version of Misfire. It was such a surprise to hear it the first time.

"I'll always point out the Valensia tribute album. This is better than the original IMO https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rcJCIdOI6A"

^ Sounds too fast and too messy to me. Plus, the voice doesn't come close to Freddie's.

Dream Theater never did ANATO, there were rumours back in the day, but the album they did instead was Dark Side of the Moon (I saw the Amsterdam show). In London, the week before they only covered a single song from ANATO; Death on two legs.
They may have rehearsed the album, but never got to play it live.

Yes, but the question was on DT's covers of ANATO ;)

Ok, if you're sure. I remember seeing a photo in the image gallery of one of their dvds that showed them on stage with the 'Dream Theatre Welcomes You To A Night At The Opera' backdrop. Must have been when they played DOTL.

I suppose if they had played it all it'd be as easy to find as the others. Ah well.

I love the SHA covers too but not so keen on Portnoy's backing vocals on FOTW. Great trilogy of songs though.

But even if the cover is that much better, I always give more points to the creator. It's far easier to imitate and slightly better something than to create it to begin with.

I think that every time Lambert sings Who Wants To Live Forever.
