I'm hoping for a better second trailer, for now

They seem to show some of the fights that happened behind the scenes. Hopefully that means it won't be completely sugar-coated. It's obviously not a documentary, but this movie could be the last opportunity we have to gain some insight into what happened backstage at Madrid '86, for example. I can't imagine Brian or Roger ever going into detail about the darker side of Queen, but maybe Hollywood was able to squeeze some details out of them.

Off from the actual trailer, but my first thought was why on earth they have put that pink-purple colour on the movie poster. It doesn't make any justice to Freddie.. (nor reflect the band's identity)
You know the name

Let’s not judge about it after seeing only a trailer.
I have a good feeling about it.

It´s a movie. And, as such, I´ve never expected it to portray the facts, or the looks, as we -legion of hardcore Queen fans- know them. I´ll try to watch the movie from a certain distance and enjoy it for what it is. It would be a torture if I started analyzing every single detail that isn´t accurate (ie: Rami´s eyes or speaking voice or hair, Roger looking too young, Fat Bottomed Girls in an incorrect setlist, etc etc).
The guy playing Brian, though.. wow, nice surprise.

Considering the film ends at Live Aid, that's unlikely to happen.

Have you ever seen anything as funny as that bloke sitting back and saying that this is where the opera section comes in?

The bloke playing Freddie looks like Wacko Jacko with buck teeth.

Still - as a comedy - it might just work in the way that David Brent: Life On The Road did. people will be laughing in their popcorn.

Has that been confirmed? Either way, you see my point. It's an opportunity to see those sorts of moments - both the good times and the bad.

A Queen biopic is an impossible task ... too many nuances. Given the challenge they had, I'm pleasantly surprised with the trailer. No one looks like Freddie and no one moves like him. Its a nightmare to portray that in a movie. In this respect, it seems Rami did a nice job in capturing some of the nuances and humor that most of the time the general public missed. I'm looking forward to this. I think we will end up learning more about the band and for any Queen fan, that's a must. Can't wait.

I like Rami's rock and roll posing and the different Freddie looks showcased in the trailer. Might need to get used to his speaking voice, though.

On the other hand, Gwilym as Brian looked and sounded awesome. He said only 6 words or so but nailed his voice tone and delivery on that take.

It's a good trailer. Hopefully the movie will be as good or better. Sometimes shitty movies get great results. Not saying this will be the case but it happens. [/QUOTE]

Yes Brain looked very impressive. Unfortunately Roger looks like a young Rick Parfitt

/\ like I said earlier, the minutiae is not important , as long as it's in the right SPIRIT.

Anyone notice the release date of the 24th October? Only my bloody birthday!

Personally, I think it looks great. The guy doing Brian had the voice spot on. Can we please not be so critical of this until its release? This could be the start of a very interesting new Queen era if it is successful.
