Hello all!

I've searched on this forum and couldn't find the answer so I thought that I'd reach out to you all.

Do you know at which concert Freddie performed his first ever vocal improvisation and is there a recording of that particular gig ?

Cheers!

Good question!

I think it was after Now I'm Here lost the interaction with the crowd and the experience of stadium gigs. So Gluttons for Punishment 1981 may be the first gigs - well with the "alright alright" evolving to the 1982 "Aretha Franklin" thing.

It goes back to 1975 during Liar. The Japanese tapes are the earliest we've heard.

Now I'm Here incorporated the vocal thing in late 78.

Someone on YT keeps telling me it was in Kobe on 23rd April, 1975.

i hate how the movie makes it look like it was done the first time at live aid. what with all the doe eyed open mouth stares they gave him shaking their heads in disbelief... but honestly it evolved over the years.
