Interesting - so WWRY from Houston was shown on German TV a month after the show. Judging by the time coder, it looks like it's bits of the slow and fast versions at the beginning of the show.

Maybe there are different angles, as they don't seem to entirely match the video we have.

I tried registering to the forum, but when I click on the file it says "only donators can unlock data". It would be great if someone could manage to snatch the file. I'll happily contribute a few bucks to the cause if that's how the forum works - a file like this is worth it.

That's unfortunate, hopefully, something good will become of this! :)

Here are 5 volumes of RDF on archive.org, I don't have time to thoroughly go through them but I also have no idea if Queen would be included, or even if it's the same TV program.

Also, this website claims that the Queen portion was on a completely different date, but it says WATC and not WWRY (1978-06-03): http://www.truckgeier.de/rockpop.htm

Yep, that's correct. And WWRY was on the 1-14-78 show. The person running that website just has the January date as a blank.

Ok, so I emailed ZDF regarding a copy of the program and this is what they replied with (translated from German):

The copy requested by you must be made individually, as we are unfortunately not allowed to store recordings. The costs of EUR 40.00 resulting from this one-off production must be charged to you. Please note that we can not offer you any recordings in HD or Blu-ray quality.

If you are interested in ordering the contributions below, we will first need a shipping and billing address. We will also send you information about the terms of payment at this address.

In general, we can provide the copy in about 1 - 2 weeks after receipt of payment. However, it may take a little longer in some cases, z. B. if the starting material is needed in-house.
