They know that a portion of the people wasting their money for them are actually fans that know the song Chinese Torture. They are also aware that their setlist is mainly hits, aside from Tear It Up and Get Down Make Love. 2 lesser known songs? Come on! At least give us fans stuff like Cool Cat, Dead On Time, Long Away, Drowse, Princes Of The Universe, Gimme The Prize, Dont Try Suicide, or Dancer. LISTEN TO YOUR ACTUAL FANS, NOT JUST THE 2,500 PEOPLE THAT HAVE GREATEST HITS 1 AND 2.

You've just said on another post that Adam sucks so I'm guessing you won't be wasting any money to see them. That being the case, what difference does it make to you what they play?

well there are other people that havent got the chance to see them and are really big fans, and they only really play hits so they will never have the chance to hear their favorite song live :<<<

A lot of the audience probably don't know all the deep cuts, they don't want half the audience sat looking blank rather than singing along. Whatever they're doing seems to be working, people are loving it.

Maybe he rather see them play in Ohio doing Mustapha live.

I would say it is the other way around. Only 2.500 people in an arena would know stuff like Ogre Battle while 10.000 are happy with Radio GaGa.

Try 250.
They dropped two songs from News Of The World, one of their biggest albums in the US, because they were getting blank faces from the front rows.
Queen have been a hits band since 1980. It's time for that 1% of Queen fans who know the early albums to accept it.

True. I was a bit bummed they dropped SYW & IL last year but honestly once I was at the show I didn't even think about it. It's so fast paced, well put together and just flows it went by in a flash and I didn't really notice anything missing at all, the whole show was just jaw dropping. If putting deep cuts in is gonna slow things down and mess with the flow then it's better to stick with the hits. End of the day we can listen to those original songs anytime we want.

As one of the older fans I'd love to hear some lesser played album material, but I completely understand why they choose not to go down that path.
Greatest hits is what is known by everyone who buys a ticket and that is the market they are playing too. The current production is amazing and the set list certainly does flow and is fast past as Rockchic says.

If Brian and Roger and to a lesser extent Adam had bothered to continue with those songs, then a lot more of those people that didnt know them would have got to know those songs. Maybe then those people would have delved deeper into Queen's back catalogue.
This is one of the reasons I cant be arsed with this line up now. I was lucky enough to see the real deal. Brian and Roger are fantastic musicians, but I feel they have now turned into a tribute act with a karaoke singer. The only one that seems to be interested in doing completely new stuff is Roger. I'm more interested in that tbh. Queen+ ? Sorry but I'm done with that.

The Real Wizard they were getting blank faces because the people that bought front row tickets are either they to see Lamebird, or only they know the hits.

Of course. But look at their record sales over the past few decades - greatest hits compilations have sold better than the rest of their catalog combined. That's what happens when you have so many hits.
As much as we love the early albums, to Brian and Roger it's about 10% of their history. They have known each other for 50 years, and those albums cover a 5 year period. It's probably a lot less significant to them than it is to people at a forum like this.

Saw them in Rotterdam, Netherlands, last week and the show was excellent. Had a great evening, enjoyed their music very much, but most of all I will not forget the appreciation that was given by the audience. And most importantly, it is obvious our 2 heroes still like to be out there and entertain us for 2 hours.
But in all fairness, it is also at these evenings (saw them last year in Amsterdam as well), they are not getting any younger. Could not get rid of the thought that maybe 5, max 10 years from now, we might never see them again on stage. As such, I feel that all the discussions on Lambert, the setlist or the fact that Queen died in 1991 on this forum are simply wasted time: enjoy what is still there to be enjoyed, it might all be over soon.
Just my 2 cents ...

Do you really not see how ridiculous your comments are when faced with all the people who go to the shows and enjoy them. Might not be your thing but clearly loads of people are loving it.
