Very First Video Montage of Keep Yourslf Alive aired on TV

Hi, I would like to talk about the very first video montage of "keep yourself alive" aired on TV on July 24th, 1973. The official biography ("Queen As it began", written by Jackie Gunn and Jim Jenkins) says that the first video is It was commissioned by producer Mike Appleton for the BBC program "The Old Grey Whistle Test" after EMI sent to the BBC a White Label copy of the first album but forgot to include the band's advertising material.
Without information on the band and no reference images, the producer of the program, enthusiastic after listening to the mysterious album decided to commission a video to accompany the music of the first song of the album, this video contained images taken from the animated short film used for the American presidential elections of 1944 from President Roosevelt's campaign.

Is the airing date shown in the biography correct?
I ask this because many people say, however, that the video broadcast in the TOGWT program is instead the version published in partial form in the documentary Magic Years Vol. 1 and in complete form in the video compilations "Greatest Hits" (USA VHS) and Queen Rocks.
This video contains scenes from old movies, small sequences of cartoons and the images taken from the two promotional videos recorded in August '73.

What is the truth? What is the true first video? if the video was aired on July 24th 1973 it could not contain the images from the promotional videos of Keep Yourself Alive with the band.
Another possible explanation is that the "second" video was also broadcast by the program after the month of August.
I hope that together we will be able to clarify because the official sources have only created confusion over time.

Thanks for the answer Bullup, in fact this version does not contain images of the band and is very close to that used in 78 as video of "dead on time" for the same program ... but the official biography talks about the animated film '44 version and the clip that i found was taken from a documentary a few years ago. it confirms the existence
So i think that official video showing parts used by the TOGWT version and the 2 promotional videos was created by DoRo in 1987 for the Magic Years Vol.1 and also used later...

The clip is a typical montage fo TGOWT program used many times and maybe in july 73 was used a copy identical but you tubeclip is taken from 78 video

Yes, it's fake. But listen an interview by Michael Appleton in magic years. He says there mix of different old movies

I remember being quite interested when I realised the MY KYA was actually the DOT clip.

Queen's history is a huge mess. The first promo was not done by the band, but by the BBC and features bits of the 1944 propaganda cartoon (thanks for the link, I have never seen the complete version version before) and apparently bits of old black and white movies. This was NEVER released anywhere. Queen have done 2 official promo videos, one of them is this one : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4utDJ8J9ETU , the second one is this one : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JofwEB9g1zg . We unfortunately have contradicting information about the order in which they were filmed, so I won't dare to tell which one was which. Then new versions were created for various releases, using clips of all 3 versions. As I said, it's a huge mess.

Welcome to the club. One fellow Queenzoner ripped stuff from my channel where it was not monetized (or monetized by Believe Music), and reuploaded it without permission to his/her channel where it was of course monetized if I remember correctly. When I complained about it, I was blocked :-) Some people...
