Staying Power The first 12" extended edit

Staying Power is one of the few pieces of Queen vinyl that I still have ... But, boo hoo, I got rid of my turntable a few years ago, as it was sitting in the basement for over 10 years unconnected and collecting dust.

Staying Power was not remixed by Queen. It was remixed by John Luongo.

However, for the flip side, John Deacon did the extended remix of Back Chat.

Therefore, I uselessly consider Back Chat to be the first "real" 12" single.

I like the 12" of Back Chat, as it has a 'proper' ending to the song, instead of the fade-out. For the same reason, the extended mix of Radio Ga Ga appeals to me too.

I tried to sell some Miracle and Innuendo 12" singles on ebay recently. They're basically worthless so I binned them :(

Sounds like I should bin my "The Miracle" LP album. I don't know why I have it. I think I won it in a raffle at a "Queen" convention.

You'd get a few quid for it. Funny, I think of The Miracle as a cassette - strange to think of it on vinyl.

HA - I think of The Miracle as a CD. I originally bought Queen albums as 8-tracks, but bought Flash Gordon, Hot Space, and The Works on LP and A Kind of Magic on cassette before buying The Miracle on CD.

Nevermore/Hangman 12" radio single 1971.

Because it never existed it has since become a serious collector's item, but so rare that people either don't have it or they know someone who doesn't have it.

Surely Queen's real first 12" single was "Radio Ga Ga ( QUEEN1) and then that carried on with "I want to break free" then "Its a hard life" "Hammer to Fall" etc............

Surely not – someone already said the correct answer above: 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love'.

But "Crazy little thing" was not extended so cant really be treated as a true 12 inch version single.
