@cmadruns, sorry I just did an “@“ I am so bad with this forum. I have yet to figure out how to do an actual reply or even upload an avatar. The only forum I’ve ever been on was MisfitsCentral and that was many years ago haha...still trying to figure out this.

To reply with the original quote just hover your mouse pointer to the right of the date and time on the post and move further along, you should see edit, then reply then reply with quote.

That proves John is still in touch.

Yep, he just wants nothing to do with the karaoke circus tribute band.
Respect to that man.

You would respect any man who apparently share your own opinion about the "karaoke circus tribute band".
Why are you so sure his reasons for staying aside Queen are so noble? Maybe he is resentful because he feels tolerated, or maybe he doesn't like Brian, or Roger, or Spike, or he is tired of traveling, or he is generally bored. Why are you offering your respect to another bored man? We already have a bored band leader.
When asked what's John doing, Roger answered - "spending his money". This is the best description so far.

A couple of links regarding John Deacon in the new millenium along with some comments by Brian & Roger which were negative in 2018, but respectful in 2015 ...
Drummer Taylor describes him as a 'sociopath', while May suggests that Deacon has never recovered since a booze and drug-soaked period which he implies led to a breakdown more than 35 years ago.
Extraordinarily, Taylor says they haven't spoken in more than a decade. 'I haven't heard a squeak from John, not a single guttural grunt,' he adds.
'We're not in touch but John's a sociopath, really, and he's given his blessing to whatever Brian and I might do with the brand — and we've done rather a lot.'
Guitarist May adds: 'It's his choice. He doesn't contact us. John was quite delicate all along.'
Taylor said: ‘I think he’s a little fragile and just didn’t want to know anything about talking to people in the music business or whatever. That’s fair enough. We respect that.’
May added: ‘He wants to be private and in his own universe. He still keeps an eye on the finances, though.’
