'From what I read in the description at the Oficial website store, it’s a new Smile version. My understanding is that it’s probably something they worked on with Tim in studio when Brian posted those pictures with him there months ago.'
Jolly good. Hopefully that will be slightly more than Tim singing on the BBC version next to Roger's verse.[/QUOTE]
Yeah Tim wrote this on his facebook page
"I was recently at Abbey Road Studios with Brian to overdub my vocal part for the scenes in the forthcoming ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ movie, where a young me sings ‘Doin’ Alright’ live at a Smile gig.
• While I was there I also recorded vocal and bass parts for ‘Doin’ Alright’ on the official soundtrack. I’ll write more about this later"

And this Smile reunion with Tim was the perfect occasion to film a mini-documentary / making-off of what they´ve done in the studio. I really hope they´ve filmed and post it in their YT channel or include it as an extra feature when the movie bluray is released.
My heart asks for it. My head says Brian & Roger, being Brian & Roger, have not even thought about the possibility. Fingers crossed.

Imagine that they put out a 7" on RSD next year with new versions of Smile and Doing All Right. Will never happen ofcourse. I doubt there's even a picture of the three together.

According to this Don’t Stop Me Now has new Brian May guitar overdubs. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/queen-unearth-live-aid-recordings-for-bohemian-rhapsody-soundtrack-719560/
I wonder if that just means it’s essentially the same version as the rereleased Jazz-bonus track?

Hmm, on here they mention that a gatefold 2xLP will be released in February-March 2019 and also a Casette!
This is what Tim Staffel said about the new version of "Doin All Right" in a recent Spanish language interview. My own translation below. I am not a native English or Spanish speaker, so bear with me.

My translation (feel free to improve it):
Tim Staffell will appear as a character in the movie “Bohemian Rhapsody”, and has recorded voices for the scene in which Mercury watches Smile in a club. “They are playing ‘Doin’ alright’ and used the multitracks of the Queen version. The guy that plays me sings over these multitracks. Brian (May) told me he was not satisfied with the voice, so he asked me to go to the studio to record some parts for the movie's multitracks. I went to Abbey Road and dubbed some parts, singing ‘Doin’ alright’. We tried to make it sound more like Smile, and I think it worked. We made it a little bit more agressive, more raw; so that it would be more similar to the sound of the time when it was recorded, even though most of the multitrack parts were from the Queen version."

Interested to hear it. I hate the album version of Doin' Alright.

Nothing is worse than the Tim Staffel version on his album Amigo. Was that a joke?

I won’t be far off - it's newly recorded guitars, and according to the press release it supposedly closer to how it sounds live now.

I did the interview.
Finally they recorded again Doin' Alright. Brian and also Roger played again, and the bass by Tim. A very kind guy.
He is gonna sell his second album when the film will screen. You can buy aMIGO on his Bandcamp site. Also, he is recording a third album.

I really hope they actually redid the whole track and haven't reused any parts from the Queen version, or at least not from the album version and rather some rough take.

It means they still have multitracks for the first album.
