I have the official released dvd 's of Live Aid (Rock Montreal) and friday Wembley '86 show and I want to extract the audio from both concerts. Can I do that track by track as they appear on the dvd's? I tried to do that and, appart from the dvd's are secure to this kind of ripping, I couldn't convert the audio track by track.
Thx in advance.

Play the dvd in your laptop and record the audio using Audacity?

The easiest way I can think of right now, using only 100% free software and working with copy protected DVDs
1) Get DVDDecrypter from videohelp.com https://www.videohelp.com/software/DVD-Decrypter
2) Install it and run it
3) In Mode, check IFO
4) Go to "Stream Processing" and click "Enable Stream Processing", you should see something like this : http://icrontic.com/images/draco/articles/ripping_dvd_xvid_ultimate_guide_20/DVDDecrypter_Stream_Processing.jpg
5) In the right bottom select the "Demux" checkbox
6) Above it (see the previous picture) is a list of available streams, uncheck the video stream and the subtitle stream(s), in other words you will end up with only the audio streams checked
7) Select your destination folder
8) Click the huge button on the bottom left part of the window
9) You will end up with only the selected audio stream(s) in the folder you selected in step 8, process the audio files in Audacity in any way you want, including splitting into individual files by tracks

"The easiest way"
This is how you control a space shuttle.

And that's why you don't get near space shuttles.
At least you can post links, though.

Of which I am very proud.

Problem is - it will only rip DVDs, not a DVD folder on the hard drive.
