That sealed version is the fake version of the box set unfortunatley. I had the misfortune of buying one of those before I got this one.

you can buy the 3 sets (3 x 5 albums) of 2cd deluxe versions from amazon.co.uk - sealed - for under 150 GBP off amazon.co.uk

you may want to scale your price down a bit - in any event - most people on this forum either have the set or are looking for an incredibly deep discount before purchasing this set for the 3rd or 4th time

That's a bit steep. :D

How did you discover it was fake? Was it that bad?

Alas, i have one of those fake boxes.
The box in which the cd's are cased is official, which doesn't help with identifying whether it's fake or not...especially when sealed. Loads of printing errors on the labels. The cds sound good though, haven't spotted any mistakes sonically. The quality of the prints (booklets and disclabels) however, is very poor and is the way to spot the fake version.

Yeah as was said above they're just really sub standard. Thete is such a massive difference between the real thing and these Iimorted counterfeits. I also have the us versions of this set, that is the 3 individual boxes, volumes 1,2 and 3 and even they dont really hold up to the island version of the box. Just my opinion of course. I had relisted the box at 295 as that was the least I would be willing to let it go for. No one seemed too interested so I reckon Ill be happier and more content with it still as part of my collection.

Other ways to spot the fakes: look at the style of the cases and look at the order the CDs are in.

£263.22 is ridiculously expensive.

Was this even sold officially as an sealed boxset containing all the albums? As far as i remember, they released 3 (or 4 or 5) albums at the same time during the course of one year or something like that and you would get the box itself in the begining (or was it at the end?). Correct me if i'm wrong, but a 40 years sealed boxset containing all the cd's never happened.
