I had not noticed the outfit - its kinda standard fare at any Indian occasion (like a marriage or any other celebration).
Your PM Trudeau took it a bit far though when he visited India earlier this year (or was it last year) when he seemed to be in a constant Bollywood costume trial mode, even attending official meetings dressed like that.
The trip was a disaster (from our perspective) for multiple, very serious reasons. But he was trolled big time over here for the frequent costume changes (multiple times a day).

Yeah. Most of Canada is trying to pretend that didn't happen (even his supporters). I don't know what he was thinking. He usually has his shit together.
