i disagree, and will stick to my original post. Queen were once an original band then Freddie died john left the band and now if you turn around and say they are better now than what they were before then your talking utter drivel. Original lead singers cannot be beaten in any band.

I wanted to step in earlier about the 'original is always better' argument,

It depends when you like,

i am fixated on the original issue here because a lot of people seem to forget what a brilliant band Queen was with Freddie, its like people seem to accept
Camilla Parker Bowels to the lovely Princess Diana and that syndrome has happened to Freddie with Adam Lambert, you get idiots like Brian May who praises Lambert
up to the chimney tops yet when Freddie was alive he never ever said in interviews while Freddie sat there that Mercury was an incredible singer and performer.
Queen were once an original rock band, but today they are a mish mash of anybody standing on that stage with them fucking up the Queen back catalogue.
Sorry but this needed to be told. If you want REAL Queen then it has to be original.

No, they don't. Nobody has ever said anything of the like. And if they have, it is likely an extremely small minority of Adam Lambert fans who didn't even like Queen before this collaboration began.

Can you actually point to a single quote written by a Queen fan who says they like Lambert now and have completely rejected Mercury, or is this just something that exists only in your head?

You seem to think that because people even slightly enjoy the collaboration with Lambert, they therefore have turned their backs on the original band. Why can't you fathom that people can enjoy both on some level?

That's because it wasn't Brian May's job to market Freddie Mercury in 1977.

However, you will find countless interviews in the past 25 years where he speaks about Freddie's brilliance and how great he was to work with.

Why does it concern you so much that an Adam Lambert fan likes Adam Lambert? She's obviously wrong if that's what she thinks, but why can't you just move on with your day instead of saying the same thing a thousand times?

The overwhelming majority of people who have enjoyed the recent shows haven't suddenly forgotten about how great Freddie Mercury was. You probably shouldn't take one or two people writing on a forum as gospel truth.
