Bicycle Race / Girls Search

Hey guys!

So I work with film production in Brazil and we want to reunite the bike girls who were in the original Queen Bicycle Race videoclip. Many of you might know this, but it was shot at Wimbledon Greyhound Stadium in 1978. There were about 50 models around their 20’s.

Does anyone know any of the models? We already got a few names and are trying to contact them, but I thought maybe sharing this here, we can find friends of friends, or family of these ladies.


It's a fun research. Could be fun to see them together again!

Already talked to G, and he doesn't. He said it would be quite a challenge since all the paper from that time is gone.
He said it could work to contact forums and groups to put a search post... To see if we find people that know any of them personally.

It's funny, when I first heard that tale in the 80s it was considered amusing.

Now I hear it retold for the 100th time and I'm like a) WE KNOW and b) yeah you can't make those jokes anymore you DINOSAUR.

Half of them must be dead by now.

When I was younger and back in the day there was a publicity shot of two of the winners of the race. One girl was named Tessa Hewett (Hewitt?) At the time she was 18 years old. I love the idea of gathering the ladies again... it was 40 years ago this past Tuesday when that race happened.

Jane Warner is another model. She has given interviews in the past so she's obviously willing to chat about it
