spamming

This forum needs a complete overhaul. It is not equipped for 21st century internet needs.

It needs a new engine that actually works, and a full time moderator. The trolls and spammers run the place now. Merely deleting their posts is not an adequate recourse. The engine needs to be able to ban IP addresses.

I'll just leave this here for posterity.

Two days ago, there was actually French-language spam for a hitman (yes, as in: a killer for hire) in the Fan Mixes forum. I sent an e-mail to Richard and it was swiftly deleted, but this is getting crazy.

Richard isn't giving a fuck. I've PM'd him about some issues, and got nada - not even a response.

I’ve been saying it for what, about 15 years now, regarding the need for moderators?

I suppose there's no money or worse, there's no interest in overhauling the forum. It is a real shame because now it's the time for new fans to sign up and this community could thrive again if the forum tech was half decent.

We are stuck with buggy 15-year-old software. Not cool.

I'm new to this forum, and I never thought i would come to this post. Hopefully this forum gets fixed.

I say delete all the accounts with duplicate ip addresses and let's see who's left.

There are some trolls still lurking around, such as runner_70 and EMI2565

I think since there is soo much trolls/spammers this forum should have some kind of account limitations. For example newbie new threads have to be check by moderators and until then this threads will not be visible to public. Next thing that come to my mind is to have some sort of cooldown, something like max 10 post per minute or 1 thread per hour for example. i believe this would help a lot.

Interesting, definitely didn't mean they should do anything to make this site better. Was just idea that would help.
