Hey everyone,
Recently I got a new record player and I decided that I might as well transfer this particular version of the song in a lossless form.
So here you go, the vinyl still has some pops but that's the nature of 40 year old records :)
Feel free to ask for any more vinyl rips of Queen songs or whatever. :P

Thanks so much for this vinyl rips... reminds me of the sound of the vinyls I listened to when I was (a few) years younger. I didn't have any Queen albums at this moment... only singles and one LP from an old rock band...
Great sound!!
Thanks Chin! Lovely song. 1:04 is the bit I like the most (when A-flat major chord comes in).
thanks.
I can't see how the original track became a curiosity instead of recent versions, 2015 vinyl for example.
Maybe it's because you weren't born in 1978 and Jazz album does not have a clear identity to you. Combined with a lack of appetite for logic.

I don't understand why they added the kick drum back, Sounds OK with it, but better without. Kind of a bold choice, it seems to me, to leave it out. But it sounds better without it. If anything, maybe only using it as an accent with the toms and on some of the cymbal hits.
Thanks for posting Chin.
Thanks for posting Chin.
I'm just surprised they mentioned it. If they'd kept quiet we'd all think it was just an AMAZING mastering job.
Thanks.
Nice!

solo es una cancion pero se ve muy bien
Has it been confirmed this was definitely a different mix? I strongly suspect this was a mastering error and the kick drum was always supposed to be there.
Thanks for this track. However, I downloaded it and noticed the bass drum was missing, so I've reinstated it:

I have to tell you it took me some effort...
The EASY part was to sync the time and pitch of the recordings, match their loudness, correct the phase and repair the DC offset (I must say that the turntable used to transfer this track runs smoothly and at almost perfect angular velocity, but the cable pairing seems to be wrong as the phase was inverted in both channels). I didn't perform any kind of noise reduction, as I wanted to keep the vinyl sound as genuine as possible.
You're welcome!
