Freddie didn't have his moustache yet when they recorded We Will Rock You. Good scene, but historically inaccurate.

Yeah, funny how almost EVERYONE points that out in the comments section. I think Bri & Co might have seriously underestimated the modern audience and what they expect of films these days. Brian (the actor) is super convincing though, incredible casting.

It was historically inaccurate to have Freddie in his Jazz-era leather outfit with a moustache in the Miracle video. I mean pretend Freddie. Kiddie Freddie.
So the band haven’t been sticklers for this kind of accuracy. I actually like this scene.

I know this has been beaten to death already with the mustache in '77 thing, but yes, k-m has a point...the thing is, there are famous videos of him from the era of this song, so people already know what he looked like at that time. The mustache was such a radical departure it sticks out like a sore thumb. If they had changed his appearance from some earlier timeframe that wasn't so well documented already that's one thing, but to play around with images that are pretty much iconic doesn't make much sense to me. We'll have to see how it works within the context of the film.

Freddie wore the leather/police uniform in South America 1981, so the way kid Freddie dressed in The Miracle was actually accurate.

The most inaccurate an annoying thing are those ABBA looking bitches in the studio next to them.

I agree ?? also Roger smiling like stupid when Brian gives directions. In other trailers also John is always with a smile... They looked so stupid.
I am waiting to see the movie in order to understand why the shift songs and timeline. Queen history has a very good flow by its own. Maybe if a parody comes out, it will be better....

That smile and the cheekbones Mali Ramek gives after the 'what's the lyric' taunt are great! And the music sounds amazing.
Accurate in any sense of the word? No less than any other biopic.
This is just ridicilous. What a bunch of amateurs. I forgot what Phoebe ( Peter Freestone) said about this piece in the movie. Something that it all fell into place at some point ....?

did they shift the song or the moustache?

MemeOverlord—thanks for the correction.

I know what Freddie looked like during the NOTW tour because I saw a concert from this tour live, and yet this compression of putting the mustache earlier really doesn’t bother me that much. I agree with Donovan. The music sounds amazing. It brings back some of the feel of that concert for me. So that’s why I like this scene. It’s the first trailer that has me excited for this movie.
Of course, YMMV.
