Thanks for the link - some interesting things. He mentions being staggered when he heard Queen doing Silver Salmon. A shame no one asked what year he heard it :)
You can still ask.

Ah it's still going on. He seems like a nice chap.

Someone did ask. He didn't answer
The Queen version of ‘See What A Fool I’ve Been’ is uniquely extemporised. Smile’s version I believe was much closer to the original Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee and it might even have derived from (Hampton School band) 1984.

‘Silver Salmon’ was never in the running for Morgan, because I never fully completed the song and was absolutely staggered when I heard recordings of Queen doing it at a rehearsal.
Pretty cool tidbits that some people may ignore. Also, I just found out he designed the "Fun In Space" alien, and apparently Roger used it in his album without knowing it was him who created it!

Apparently that's not quite true. Can't remember the details but I think that was just Tim's company? I saw someone mentioned it on there did he reply to it?

Hmmm that's interesting, he said he did on that thing last night.

Now I need to remember where I read that he said he didn't. It's a nice story, mind.

I registered on Reddit just to participate. I tried to ask questions that weren't being asked but didn't get much out of him except that Freddie didn't have an accent in the early years and that Tim didn't see any racism towards him. The latter is not really surprising, art college students in the 60s weren't really the racist types.

Didn't Ratty mention that Freddie started adopting his American accent early in Queen's career and he thought it was annoying of him to claim it was really great?

I am referring to the hint of Indian accent in the movie which Tim doesn't remember.

What do you think about Adam Lambert singing with Queen in recent years? Do you think he's a good fit for the band?
timstaffell: Yes, I do. I think Paul Rogers was probably a mistake. But he is a great singer and was always an inspiration, so to work with him seemed like a good choice. I think ultimately the chemistry failed. Adam Lambert is a different matter. Queen have now evolved into a theatrical entity, performing effectively classical rock in much more of a concert setting. Adam is perfect for this.

BOOOOOM! XD
