Sorry if this has already been posted. Heard them mention it on Radio 2 this morning (UK). Quite exciting I think, given I loved Tom Chaplin's version of "It's a Hard Life."

I'm guessing there will be no 'special guests' on guitar etc. though?

Oh also to add is November 7th. Wonder if there'll be a recording of event released in future? I didn't hear mention of it being broadcast - however as Radio 2 were talking about it - then maybe broadcast by BBC?

That's what we should have seen with BR the movie. Even "A Star is Born" - a massive success - is rated 15. What on earth were they thinking?

Anyway, I appreciate the fact the audiences seem to love it. It will be great to hear Tom Chaplin's take on these songs. His performance of "Hard Life" was one of the best things I heard within the Q+ project, I am not sure when it was exactly now, but he would have been a superb front, also considering some of his own dark ways. I mean, he scored heroin, right? There is certainly much more to him than we normally see. His rendition of Keane's "Bedshaped" at Live8 was show-stealing.

Well, thanks to this thread I've just discovered his excellent "It's A Hard Life" performance as well as Midge Ure doing "Seven Seas Of Rhye" and the other performances of the Rock Gala 2010, I can't believe I never knew about it until today.

I'm going to have to update my Volume + again...

I'm going, inspite of the pricy tickets. ? Not sure what to expect but I love live orchestra and Queen!

I don't rate Chaplin's voice. He can hit the notes but it's a bit bland. Midge Ure's "Seven Seas of Rhye" was better. Incidentally, Midge has played with Thin Lizzy and Queen. (Well, Queen-). Not too many can claim that kind of pedigree.

Bar none, this is one of the best things the boys have done in the last 25 years. The horns in the guitar solo are majestic.

I had a soft spot for Keane and it was mainly down to his vulnerable and pure voice and friendly face. We used to kick around the same scene in the noughties. Good days.

Radio 2 is recording the concert and broadcasting it in the new year.
