I like the instrument section, but I don't think that the acoustic and electric guitar solo are compatible together. Maybe you could have extended the track by having one follow the other?

Yes, or maybe mixing the electric guitar differently, making it less intrusive (eq'ing the highs and lowering the volume, maybe making it more stereo).
