I would love to see you in a room with Brian and say "I thought your last single was a stinking pile of shit"

Jesus that sounds even more like that song by The Quick that he ripped off for 'Crash Dive..' from the Flash OST!

You set it up mate and I'll give you a treat.
You'll also get me challenging him on the hypocrisy of taking on a reality TV winner fronting a brand that released a single panning the reality TV process as well as QPL's (non)strategy. You'll also get me thanking him for his contribution to one of the best bands in history and the enrichment it's brought to me.

from the preview I've heard, I'm not surprised where Brian's music is going; after having heard it in Tenerife in the Starmus I imagined that tracks like Dream of Thee, TMLWKY, etc would have been more and more rare. Arrived at a certain point, as you can imagine, no longer interested in making hits (or almost); or the artist think about making cash (like Q + AL) and / or doing what he like (or you can do). even if at a first listen he does not tell me anything I consider him always part of Brian's path, so interesting.

It’s more 70s prog that 21st century pop charts isn’t?!? No doubt his playing will be great on it, but he’s basically driven by other things these days and so his inspiration for any music is going to be badgers, the cosmos etc...
Much like Richie Blackmore with his solo endeavours being far from his more famous rock work, , we’re never going to get a Sail Away Sweet Sister, Now I’m Here or I Want It All from a Brian now.
I’m happy that Roger sporadically releases interesting, nuanced, varied, quirky and relevant solo work to check out.

Precisely.
A lot of the old rock stars have retired, so we should be so fortunate that some semblance of Queen and their solo work exists at all. And if the only way we're going to hear new music from Brian is when he combines his passions, then so be it. The song sounds great to my ears.
Here's hoping for more astronomy songs and less badger songs.
