Did any of you good people ever come across a statement by Freddie on Kate Bush? I always wondered what he had thought of her. She sang in an unusual style, they were label-mates and I think that Bohemian Rhapsody somehow paved the way for the success of Wuthering Heights. Both were UK No1-Hits, yet seemed unlikely to come to any kind of charts-prominence according to the infinite wisdom of EMI executives...

"I think that Bohemian Rhapsody somehow paved the way for the success of Wuthering Heights."
They were both fucking extraordinary. One had nothing to do with the other.

Much like how I want to hold your hand paved the way for pink floyd’s Echoes which as we all know was the prototype used for ...Baby One More Time by Britney Spears who of course borrowed heavily from none other than Kate Bush.

Obviously there are many kind and gentle people posting in this forum. I was talking about the success of Wuthering Heights, which might not have been possible for a song structurally and compositionally way out of the mainstream, had it not been for Bohemian Rhapsody a few years before. Anyway, thank you for your intelligent answers, guys!

I've never come across a statement by Freddie on her, even though I'd love to, because I like Kate Bush very much. I dont know if it's true or not, but I read she had been asked to guest star in the Ballet performance before Freddie was. If it really happened, I wonder if he was aware of it and what opinion he had of her. But unfortunately I've never found any statement by him on her,so I guess it'll be always a mistery to me.

The only queen link I’ve heard was Greg brooks stating after queen the next artist he’d love to archive is Kate Bush.

Babooshka definitely has a hint of Killer Queen about it. I like to think Freddie and Kate admired each other's work.

"What has Alter Bridge & Black star riders got to do with this Queen site then Holly2003? Totally irrelevant poop."
So Mr Sparkle, what does Kate Bush have to do with Queen then? :D

I’ve read somewhere that according to Freddie, he would do Kate Bush if she was a man and had a bush under her nose instead of her twat.
I think it was in the Lesley Ann Jones biography

In 1978, in the magazine Pelo of Argentina, an interview with Kate Bush came out about the band she liked most was Queen
